Review: Skinfood Shea Butter Body Emulsion

pastel_bow_divider_by_pastel_bunbun-d5f1mqwskinfoodKonbanwa! As you guys probably know by now, I love Korean make-up. It’s cheap and it works wonderfully. So I decided it was time to try some of their other cosmetic products too, instead of only getting make-up. In an earlier post I showed some of the free samples I’ve been given from buying said Korean make-up and I was drawn to a free sample of Skinfood shea butter body emulsion.

I’m one of those people who never really remembers to moisturise but I do love a good body butter, so I gave it a try. To be honest, most of the (I know it’s an ’emulsion’ but I’m just going to call it body butter) body butters I’ve tried leave have left my skin feeling sort of greasy so I wasn’t feeling too optimistic, but I have to say I LOVE this product.

Since it was in a sample, I can’t really comment too much on the packaging, but Skinfood’s packaging is normally pretty simple and attractive. The texture of it was lovely and creamy, not too thick and not too runny so it absorbed into my skin really nicely. I only had enough in the packet to use on my legs but they felt silky smooth once I’d applied it. They also looked nice and shiny (not as in Pokémon card shiny which would be weird, but a good dewy look) and it didn’t make them greasy!

body butterI think it’s one of those products that you have to use a few times to properly see the benefits, but I could tell straight away that it was a good moisturiser so I’ll definitely be buying some. I’m really happy to have found a moisturising product that actually works for me! The retail price is around £6 too which is fairly reasonable.

The only problem I have with it is the scent, but this is a minor thing. It doesn’t really smell of anything to be honest, and I like my skin products to have a nice scent. But if this is the price to pay to have soft skin then I’ll take it!

I hope this has been useful, and as always, arigatou for reading.

  1. What a lovely review. Anyway, I don’t want to say this, but I think you should make the font in your articles a little bit bigger or change it for reading convenience. Just a suggestion from me hehe, overall your blog is very cute! 🙂
