Konbanwa! I say ‘summer’ favourites, but in gloomy old England, it never feels very summery. So it’s always lovely to brighten up your make-up as well as your outfits and inject a bit of cheer and colour into your day!
My favourite summer items so far have come out of my recent RoseRoseShop haul. It’s a website I use fairly often, but only when I have a lot of money saved as it’s so cheap I can’t help spending!
My first items are from Skin Food’s summer 2014 range – the Pearl Oyster collection. I can’t express my love for this collection. I adore the seaside. The sound, the colours, the smell. And this range is completely based around the beach and sea, so it is absolutely perfect for me. I’d love to buy everything in this range because everything is both beautiful and waterproof. So far I have two nail polishes – ABL06 Deep Blue Sea and ABL10 Crystal Ocean. They’re stunning colours that are perfect for summer. They are especially great for me because blue is my favourite colour and every nail polish in this range is blue or bluey-green. The price is wonderful too; they cost £1.28 each! I also bought the Seaweed Mineral Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick in #6 Mineral Blue. I don’t have any blue eyeshadows and it’s such a bright, summer colour I was sold immediately. It is double sided – one side has the eyeshadow stick, and the other is a blender. But I normally use my finger or a brush to blend. It’s extremely pigmented with great colour payoff. I’m absolutely in love with this eyeshadow and it only cost £2.94. Click here to buy it.
My next product is the most beautiful lipstick I have ever seen! I adore this lipstick so much I can’t even express it. It’s from my favourite make-up brand Etude House (for a change). Dear My Blooming Lips-talk in PK015 is worth every penny. It’s the first lipstick I’ve bought that is exactly the same colour as advertised and it’s so pretty and bright. It cost me £4.16 so I’m over the moon wth it.
Here’s what it looks like on my lips. It’s actually darker in person, but think it’s the perfect summer colour. Click here to buy it.
So those are my favourite items for summer so far. What items have you been using/ would recommend? Let me know in the comments section!
