Hi everyone! Just after I found out I couldn’t go to Japan, I had a little bit of a meltdown including a LOT of retail therapy. Most of the things I bought were sailor moon related and they all came from Ebay, and pretty cheaply too! You can click any of the links to check out the items for yourself, so here’s what I got:
3-piece pendant set
I love these pendants so much! They came in a great collectible box and the chain is included too. I really like being able to chop and change between which pendant I’d like to wear.
The set only cost £7.55 with free shipping so it was a total bargain.

Again, this necklace has super cute packaging. The boxes they come in are such a great novelty. The necklaces are extremely good quality and there are other varieties too. This one cost me just £5.55.
I spotted this keyring and just had to buy it! Well, it was only £2.99 so it would’ve been rude not to, wouldn’t it? It’s cute, quirky and looks adorable on your keys, bag or wherever you want to clip it on to.
This was the most expensive item in my haul. It was £19.99 but worth every penny. It’s fairly well sized so I can fit my purse, keys and some other vital things (such as Fresh Cherry Tint) in my bag when I’m going out. It’s very pretty and I love wearing it with any outfit.

This cute t-shirt only cost £7 with free delivery. I love Ebay. It’s really good quality, lovely soft material and looks great on. I ordered a large to be on the safe side because Asian sizes are teeny! It always makes me feel huge but I’m a size ‘small’ in England! I was worried the colour would run when I washed it but I haven’t had any problems at all. It’s a really fun top to wear but I’m trying not to wear it with my necklaces or bag as I don’t want to look like crazy Sailor Moon fan-girl.
I’m really happy with all my purchases, and even though I went a bit mad with my money, I’m glad I didn’t spend too much!
So today I’m going to settle down with an Indian take-away, some pick ‘n’ mix (one of my favourite things in life) and read some Sailor Moon. Perfect after a day at work!

Today I have some very sad news. For me at least. After weeks of worrying, my boyfriend’s passport has not been processed in time and we have now had to cancel our trip to Japan.
I’m not even going to try and make myself sound brave: I’ve been crying a lot. To psyche yourself up for something for five months, and then find out you can’t go two weeks before you were due to fly is incredibly upsetting.
I will go one day. I’m sure of this. No matter what, I will get there. This has made me even more determined to teach English in Japan. I thought I knew how much I wanted to go, but even I didn’t realise just how passionate I was about it until my trip was snatched away. Seeing my unpacked suitcase in my room is truly heartbreaking and I’ve been reaching out to retail therapy a lot today. So far I’ve bought 4 Sailor Moon pendants, a Sailor Moon t-shirt, a bunch of Korean cosmetics and a school-girl bow tie. Somebody take my card away from me!
Today my best friend came to see me with the cutest thing I have ever seen. It makes me realise how lucky I am in life. I like to keep myself to myself, and only have a few close friends but I’d much rather have the amazingly kind group of friends I do have than a lot of fake ones.
The anti-sadness kit contained lots of sweets and chocolate (I will 100% be comfort eating my way out of this), Yankee candles, and some cosmetics. What an absolute sweetie she is. Today I’ve been trying to cheer myself up the only way I know how: with Chinese food and video games. It’s been working quite well to be honest! It’s really difficult to play Beautiful Katamari and not feel at least a teeny bit happy.
Tonight I’m going to try myself to a lovely bath with a Lush bath bomb, and paint my nails with my new Etude House nail polish. We all need a bit of pampering really don’t we?
Although it feels horrible at the moment, I know that one day I will make it to Japan, and it’ll be even more amazing when I do.
